Pear-fectly Nutty Pizza
The pear pizza is a delightful mix of sweet and savory. The juicy pears complement the melted mozzarella, while caramelized onions add depth. Nuts provide a crunchy texture, and the balsamic glaze adds a tangy finish. Each bite is a perfect blend of flavors.

Pizza Peel
- Pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- Olive oil
- 1 pear thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese grated
- 1/2 cup pecan halves or walnuts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 425°F
Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough and place it on a baking sheet. Pre-bake for about 8 minutes.
Caramelize the onions: In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and thyme, cooking until the onions are translucent and slightly browned.
Assemble the pizza: Drizzle the pre-baked crust with olive oil. Spread the caramelized onions, then add the pear slices, mozzarella cheese, and nuts.
Bake: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Prepare the balsamic glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Simmer until it reduces to a syrupy consistency.
Finish: Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the baked pizza before serving.
