Rum Cake

  • Rum Sauce

  • Heat oven to 350F, spray oil and flour a bundt pan.
  • Mix all 'Cake Batter' ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Pour the batter into a Bundt cake pan. And bake until toothpick check comes out clean (about 50 minutes).
  • Sauce - make while cake is baking.
  • Mix all 'Rum Sauce' ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Finishing The Cake
  • When cake is done, immediately make holes all over the top of the cake with a chopstick or similar object.
  • Immediately pour the rum sauce mixture onto the cake and let cool for about 20 minutes.
  • Turn cake onto a plate and let cool to room temperature.
  • When cake has cooled to room temperature, wrap with foil and store in the refrigerator.
