Rum Cake

    Cake Batter
  • 1 Dunkin Hines Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 Pistachio Nut Pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup light rum
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Rum Sauce
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Heat oven to 350F, spray oil and flour a bundt pan.
  2. Mix all 'Cake Batter' ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the batter into a Bundt cake pan. And bake until toothpick check comes out clean (about 50 minutes).
  4. Sauce - make while cake is baking.
  5. Mix all 'Rum Sauce' ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  6. Finishing The Cake
  7. When cake is done, immediately make holes all over the top of the cake with a chopstick or similar object.
  8. Immediately pour the rum sauce mixture onto the cake and let cool for about 20 minutes.
  9. Turn cake onto a plate and let cool to room temperature.
  10. When cake has cooled to room temperature, wrap with foil and store in the refrigerator.
