Ingredients
  

  • Pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • Olive oil
  • 1 pear thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F
  • Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough and place it on a baking sheet. Pre-bake for about 8 minutes.
  • Caramelize the onions: In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and thyme, cooking until the onions are translucent and slightly browned.
  • Assemble the pizza: Drizzle the pre-baked crust with olive oil. Spread the caramelized onions, then add the pear slices, mozzarella cheese, and nuts.
  • Bake: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Prepare the balsamic glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Simmer until it reduces to a syrupy consistency.
  • Finish: Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the baked pizza before serving.
